Dubai

Dubai is a major Middle East cruise homeport with two principal cruise gateways: Mina Rashid, capable of handling seven mega-cruise vessels simultaneously, and Dubai Harbour beside Dubai Marina.

Dock

Dubai has two major cruise gateways: the established Mina Rashid (Port Rashid) cruise hub near Old Dubai and the newer Dubai Harbour terminal beside Dubai Marina.

DP World states that Mina Rashid can accommodate seven mega-cruise vessels simultaneously, handling up to 27,000 passengers at once. Its flagship Hamdan bin Mohammed Cruise Terminal is described by DP World as the world's largest single covered cruise-terminal facility.

Dubai Harbour provides a second major cruise gateway in the Marina area. Current Emirates passenger information identifies Terminals A and B at Dubai Harbour and provides cruise-to-airport flight check-in there.

Dubai's enormous wider maritime infrastructure creates plenty of opportunities for enthusiastic berth counting. Deck7 has resisted them. DP World's cargo and coastal berths are not cruise berths, and Dubai Harbour's hundreds of yacht slips are definitely not cruise berths. The International Bonus Berth Integrity Commission may inspect the paperwork at any time.

Terminal information

Dubai has two major ocean-cruise gateways: Mina Rashid (Port Rashid), the long-established cruise hub near Old Dubai, and Dubai Harbour in the Dubai Marina/Mina Seyahi area. DP World states that Mina Rashid can accommodate seven mega-cruise vessels simultaneously. Dubai Harbour operates a modern cruise terminal with Terminals A and B; Emirates currently provides cruise-to-airport check-in at both Dubai Harbour and Port Rashid Terminal 3.

Docking and tender information

Mina Rashid is a major homeport and transit facility with capacity for seven mega-cruise vessels at once and up to 27,000 passengers simultaneously according to DP World. Hamdan bin Mohammed Cruise Terminal (Cruise Terminal 3) is its flagship passenger facility. Dubai Harbour is a separate modern cruise gateway beside Dubai Marina with Terminals A and B. Because current official public pages do not provide a clean berth-by-berth dimensional table for all Dubai cruise positions, Deck7 records confirmed cruise capacity/terminal positions but leaves unsupported individual berth dimensions null.

Getting around

Taxis, private transfers and cruise coaches are the principal connections from both cruise areas. Emirates offers baggage and flight check-in facilities for eligible passengers at Port Rashid Terminal 3 and Dubai Harbour. Dubai International Airport is generally closer to Mina Rashid; Dubai Harbour is convenient for Dubai Marina/JBR and Palm Jumeirah.

Accessibility

Both major cruise gateways are modern international passenger facilities. Emirates describes its port check-in at Port Rashid and Dubai Harbour as wheelchair accessible. Ship-specific boarding assistance should be arranged with the cruise line.
