Cochin (Kochi) is one of India's principal cruise ports, with international ships handled at Sagarika International Cruise Terminal on Willingdon Island.
Sagarika sits beside the port's principal large-ship cruise berth at Ernakulam Wharf. Cochin Port Authority material describes an approximately 420m berth with around 10m alongside depth. Deck7 records those physical figures without converting them into an unsupported maximum vessel LOA or draught.
The older Samudrika Cruise Terminal remains relevant for smaller cruise vessels and is therefore maintained as a second established cruise position rather than being discarded simply because Sagarika is newer.
The port is well placed for excursions to Fort Kochi, Mattancherry and central Ernakulam. Taxis, coaches and organised tours operate from the cruise facilities.
Cochin is also a major commercial and naval harbour. Vallarpadam container berths, tanker and oil facilities, bulk-cargo wharves, ferry landings, fishing facilities and naval infrastructure are not counted as cruise berths.
