Royal Caribbean has contacted selected passengers booked on Allure of the Seas for its 27 September 2026 departure, asking whether they would voluntarily change their travel plans in return for a series of incentives.

The six-night cruise is scheduled to depart Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday 27 September for a Western Caribbean and Bahamas itinerary.

Royal Caribbean has not publicly stated that the sailing is overbooked. Its message to selected passengers instead asks whether their travel party has flexible arrangements and makes clear that guests whose plans are fixed can continue with the original cruise.

Passengers offered later Allure of the Seas sailing

One option allows guests to transfer their booking to Allure of the Seas' 11 October 2026 departure.

Royal Caribbean said passengers choosing this option would receive a 100% refund of the cruise fare paid for their original booking, while their reservation would be transferred to a similar stateroom category on the new sailing at no additional cruise-fare cost.

The cruise line also said it would reimburse eligible non-refundable, pre-purchased travel expenses resulting from the change.

Full refund and Future Cruise Credit also offered

Guests who prefer not to transfer to the later departure have also been offered the option of cancelling the 27 September cruise altogether.

Under that option, Royal Caribbean said it would provide a 100% refund of amounts paid for the cruise and additional services, together with a Future Cruise Credit worth 100% of the original sailing's cruise fare.

The company also said eligible non-refundable travel costs, including certain hotel and flight cancellation or transfer fees, would be reimbursed.

Six-night cruise from Fort Lauderdale

The 27 September sailing is scheduled to operate for six nights from Port Everglades, returning to Fort Lauderdale on 3 October.

The itinerary includes Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, Falmouth in Jamaica and Nassau in the Bahamas, together with two days at sea.

The alternative 11 October departure is also a six-night sailing aboard Allure of the Seas.

No requirement for guests to change plans

The offer is voluntary and was sent to selected booked passengers. Royal Caribbean's communication makes clear that guests who do not wish to change their arrangements can continue with the 27 September sailing.

The cruise line has not publicly confirmed the reason it is seeking volunteers to move or cancel reservations, and Deck7 is therefore not characterising the sailing as overbooked.
